I saw America at The Ozark Music Festival In Sedalia MO in July 1974 they were the last act and headliner of a great three day festival that few people have heard of. The only problem was it was 107 degrees and America couldn't keep their guitars in tune because of the blazing sun and heat. Most of the crowd was passed out so I was right in the front. Anyone else remember this great festival?
Our parents said the same thing about music of 60s and 70s that America is no Frank Sinatra. Forty years from now the kids of today will say about the music of 2053 that they are no Justine Beiber. It is simple human nature. There is good music today ( I am 59 years old) check out Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and the song Home. It is on Youtube.
